Burying Barbie by Christopher Dimond

In her backyard sandbox, 7 year-old Rachel Furman (Becca Chapman) launches on a mission to kill all her Barbie dolls through morbid and hilarious burial rituals. With the help of her imaginary friend, Chuck (Matt Standley),…

an Etch-a-Sketch becomes a medical chart, a microwave gives radiation treatment, a turkey baster provides chemo, and a plunger becomes the defibrillator that tries to bring Cellphone Fun Barbie back to life from her malignant cellphonanoma tumor of the frontal lobe!

As Rachel and Chuck’s rituals intensify, Rachel’s mother, Linda (Corinne Wahlberg), is frightened by her daughter’s strange playtime.
The closer Rachel gets to completing her mission, the more her mother becomes an obstacle- threatening to give her medication if she does not behave like a “normal child”.

We invite you to come play with us, listen to your inner child, and find out what is behind Rachel’s mission.

The strangest of truths about reality are revealed in a place of imagination.

Please note: this is not a children’s show

The Art Cart bridges the gap between patients who can go to Children’s Hospital playrooms and those who are confined to their rooms. It is a rolling, six-drawer, playroom stocked with art supplies, coloring books and crayons as well as board and video games.  All the items with in the cart are donated from the community.
Donations ensure the cart remains stocked and ready for our patients.
